Privacy policy

This policy explains in plain language what personal information is processed when you visit rainbetcanada.com, why, for how long, and what rights you have. It follows the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, for Quebec residents, the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector as amended by Law 25.

1. Who is responsible

The organization accountable for personal information collected through this website (PIPEDA Principle 1 – Accountability) is:

Rainbet Canada Editorial Team

E-mail: info@rainbetcanada.com

Person in charge of the protection of personal information

PIPEDA requires us to designate an individual who is accountable for our compliance, and Quebec’s Law 25 requires us to publish the title and contact details of the person in charge of the protection of personal information. That person is:

Rainbet Canada Editorial Team
Reachable at info@rainbetcanada.com

2. What we collect

Server logs

When you open a page, our web server records technical connection data in its access log: your IP address, the user agent (browser and operating system as reported by the browser), the date and time, the requested URL and, if your browser sends it, the referring page. This data is needed to deliver the site, detect faults and defend against abuse. It is not combined with any other data and is not used to identify you.

Server logs are kept for 52 days and then deleted automatically, unless a specific security incident requires a longer retention for its investigation.

Local storage in your browser

This site sets no cookies for visitors. It stores three settings in your browser’s local storage, which stay on your device and are never sent to us:

  • rbcaAge – remembers that you confirmed you are of legal age before an outbound redirect;
  • rbcaMode – remembers whether the side menu shows the casino or the sports view;
  • rbcaSideCollapsed – remembers whether the side menu is collapsed.

You can delete them at any time through your browser’s site-data settings; the site keeps working and simply forgets the preference. Details are in the cookie policy.

E-mails you send us

There is no contact form. If you write to us, we receive the information in your message – normally your e-mail address, the text and the technical sending data – and use it solely to handle your request.

Once the request is closed and the retention period has passed, the correspondence is deleted, unless a legal obligation or an ongoing dispute requires keeping it.

3. What we do not collect

  • No user accounts, no logins, no passwords for visitors.
  • No analytics or statistics service (no Google Analytics, no Matomo, no tag manager).
  • No advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, no retargeting.
  • No profiling and no automated decision-making about you.
  • No embedded third-party fonts, videos, maps or social-media buttons that would report your visit to someone else.
  • We do not sell, rent or trade personal information – to the operator or to anyone else.

4. Purposes and consent

We collect personal information only for the purposes identified here (PIPEDA Principles 2 to 5):

  • Operating and securing the website – server logs are processed because a website cannot be delivered or protected without them. This is a legitimate operational need; the collection is limited to what a browser sends anyway, and you are informed of it here.
  • Answering your request – when you write to us, you provide your details voluntarily and thereby consent to their use for the reply. You may withdraw that consent at any time by e-mail; we then delete the correspondence, subject to legal requirements.
  • Remembering your preferences – the local-storage settings are strictly necessary for the function you triggered (age confirmation, menu view) and never leave your device.

We do not use personal information for any other purpose without informing you and, where the law requires it, obtaining your consent first.

5. Hosting and cross-border transfer

This website runs on a rented server of an external hosting provider.

The hosting provider processes the connection data needed to deliver and secure the website (see the server-log section above). It acts on our instructions as a service provider and may not use that data for its own purposes.

Cross-border transfer

Where our hosting provider or its data centres are located outside Canada, the technical data described above may be stored abroad and may then be subject to the laws of that country, including lawful access by its authorities. We limit what is transferred to the connection data a web server needs, and we use contractual and technical safeguards with our providers so that the data receives a comparable level of protection.

7. Your rights

Under PIPEDA you have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you and learn how it has been used and to whom it was disclosed;
  • correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions;
  • request deletion where the information is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for;
  • ask questions about, or challenge, our compliance with this policy.

Quebec residents additionally have, under Law 25, the right to:

  • receive computerized personal information in a structured, commonly used technological format (portability);
  • request that hyperlinks attached to their name be de-indexed or that the dissemination of personal information cease where it causes serious injury;
  • be informed about any decision based exclusively on automated processing and to submit observations – we do not make any such decisions.

To exercise any of these rights, write to info@rainbetcanada.com. We respond within 30 days, as the law requires, and may ask you to confirm your identity first. Because we hold almost no personal information – in practice only server logs that we cannot match to a person, and e-mails you have sent us – most requests are answered by confirming that fact.

8. Complaints

If you believe we have not handled your personal information correctly, please contact us first so that we can put it right. You also have the right to file a complaint with the federal regulator:

Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada
30 Victoria Street
Gatineau, Quebec K1A 1H3
Toll-free: 1-800-282-1376
Website: priv.gc.ca

Quebec residents may also contact:

Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec
Website: cai.gouv.qc.ca

9. Minors

This website is intended for adults only – 19+ in most provinces and territories, 18+ in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has sent us personal information, tell us at info@rainbetcanada.com and we will delete it.

10. Security and confidentiality incidents

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal information against loss, alteration and unauthorized access – in particular encrypted transmission over HTTPS, access restricted to the people who need it, and automatic deletion of logs. Absolute security of data transmitted over the internet cannot be guaranteed.

As Quebec’s Law 25 requires, we keep a register of confidentiality incidents. If an incident involving personal information presents a risk of serious injury, we notify the Commission d’accès à l’information and the affected persons without delay, and we take reasonable measures to reduce the risk of harm and to prevent a recurrence.

11. Changes to this policy

We update this policy when the site’s functions, our service providers or the legal requirements change. The version published on this page is the one that applies. Last updated: September 7, 2026.
